This was F2F's second appearance in Montreal in february of 1995. They were headlining this time. I had found a great spot to film that night, side stage, next to the sound man on the balcony who didn't seem to mind me being there. I was quiet. I was truely excited about this show. I loved FACE TO FACE and i had the best seat in the house. The opening band was ROACH, who would later renamed themselves RESET and who would later become SIMPLE PLAN. Needless to say, it was an important night for ROACH who played a great set. SHADES OF CULTURE were next. They had a cold reception. It might have to do because they were a Hip-Hop group and that doesn't always mix well with punk crowds. But Montreal was mixing. We were open minded even back in 1995 ! SHADES OF CULTURE went on to re-open again for them when F2F came to Montreal for the third time. What a great night this was. It was Valentine's day. I remember asking Trever Keith's autograph on the DONT TURN AWAY cd for Marie-Douce, a girl i had a crush on at the time. Unfortunately, i did not work out for me.
